NEW Junior Program Announcement
Dear Juniors & Parents,
The new junior golf season is upon us, and we are excited to share some updates to the junior membership and overall experience here at Burghill Valley Golf Club.
We are continuing to offer our beginner and development coaching sessions with Mike on a Saturday morning and are delighted to introduce Oliver Farr to our junior coaching team. Ollie is a former DP World Tour player and like many of our juniors, Ollie began his journey at junior coaching on Saturday morning. His experience will be invaluable in inspiring and guiding our aspiring and elite players.
Mike will continue to introduce new juniors and coach players as they develop onto the golf course and work towards achieving a handicap. Ollie will coach the Aspire and Elite stages and help players generate a better understanding of there own game and how to achieve success in golf. Our new junior coaching structure for the 2026 season will be as follows:
The coaching will continue to be on Saturdays and we will assess the times as we move into the summer. We are planning to move some sessions to a Friday evening to tie in with the junior evenings and help with the progression to the course for the Beginners and Development tiers as well as seeing some good competition in the Aspire and Elite tiers.
A full list of dates for coaching, junior nights and junior competitions will be added soon to the WhatsApp group to help parents and juniors plan accordingly. Mike sessions will continue as normal and the same booking system. Ollie’s sessions will start from Saturday 11th April and contact with Ollie directly to book your slot.
We are extremely excited about the opportunities this new structure will provide and look forward to another fantastic season of junior golf at BVGC.
