Job description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to start a Greenkeeper Apprenticeship.  The successful applicant will be given full training and at the end of the contract will be classed as a qualified greenkeeper.  The role involves assisting in a broad spectrum of operations that are carried out when preparing, maintaining, and developing a golf course.  This is a fulltime position to join our strong team in rural Herefordshire run by a local family.  The ideal candidate would be interested in learning about greenkeeping.  You will be trained by Myerscough College and gain an NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Management through on-line and on-site learning on our course.

The ability to work as a team is a big part of becoming a green keeper.  Early morning starts are essential and weekend work on a rota system is required.  The successful candidate will learn every aspect of the role and will be instructed and trained in all areas.

Please e-mail Lou Padian - lou@bvgc.co.uk with your CV and covering letter
