Winter Course in play

Winter Course

We are pleased to inform you that the 18-hole winter course is now set up and will be in play from tomorrow, Friday 3rd November. (Or when next open). The course has been remeasured and approved by SHUGC and England Golf to facilitate qualifying competitions and for you enter general play scores. 

A new 18-hole Winter score card has been produced to reflect the changes to the course, slope rating, and the stoke indexes for yellow and red tees.

Yellow tees – Par 67 total yds 5302

Red tees – Par 71 total yds 5114

Hole changes to note:

1st Hole – Par 3 (153 yds) for both yellow and red tees

15th Hole – Par 5 (376 yds) for red tees

16th Hole – Par 3 (171 yds) for both yellow and red tees

As in previous winters, we will be using both normal tees, winter mats with yellow and red tee markers used to determine the tee positions.

Winter course handicap tables are displayed in the changing rooms and in the starters hut and I.G and England golf websites have been updated to include the Winter course.
